The end of America: Why Romney lost
,
Individual Rights |
The United States of America was created as an independent nation whose founding ideal was the principle of individual rights. Freedom. Ayn Rand said that “freedom, in a political context, means freedom from government coercion.” America was the first moral government based on individual rights, the nation of the Enlightenment.

Jew-killing jihadist now a hero
,
Expect more abject depravity, moral decay and the exaltation of the savage as the West continues to submit to and appease Islamic supremacism. Ayn Rand said: “The evil of the world is made possible by nothing but the sanction you give it.” We’re seeing that vividly in the wake of Merah’s jihad massacre.

Defending The West: Stop Apologizing and Start Carpet-Bombing!
,
Individual Rights |
As Ayn Rand noted, “It took centuries of intellectual, philosophical development to achieve political freedom. It was a long struggle, stretching from Aristotle to John Locke to the Founding Fathers. The system they established was not based on unlimited majority rule, but on its opposite: on individual rights, which were not to be alienated by majority vote or minority plotting. The individual was not left at the mercy of his neighbors or his leaders: the constitutional system of checks and balances was scientifically devised to protect him from both. This was the great American achievement – and if concern for the actual welfare of other nations were our present leaders’ motive, this is what we should have been teaching the world.” Yes

A Muslim Apostate Sings the West’s Praises
,
The Fountainhead |
In Why the West Is Best, Ibn Warraq uses New York City as a microcosm for the Western civilization that is in every sense -- intellectually, technologically, morally -- superior to the Islamic civilization that is challenging the West every which way nowadays. He isn’t just using New York as a metaphor. He sees it something like the way Ayn Rand described it in her unforgettable passage [in The Fountainhead].

The Civilized Man vs. the MTA Savages
,
MTA official Jeremy Soffin’s e-mail on September 21 claims that they “don’t censor based on opinion” and have “run one of each” -- that is, one anti-Israel ad and one pro-Israel ad. But my AFDI ad, which quotes Ayn Rand -- “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man.” -- was not acceptable because it “aims to demean and this isn’t okay.”

Glenn Beck and the Struggle for Israel’s Survival
,
Islamic societies are among the least developed cultures, the product of nomadic civilization. Their culture is primitive and barbaric, and they hate Israel because it is the sole beacon of modern science and civilization and technology in the Middle East. Ayn Rand said that when you have civilized men fighting savages, you support the civilized men, no matter what.

A conspiracy against the mind, against life, against man—and the virtue of Sarah Palin
,
Wednesday Sarah Palin responded to the vicious blood libel leveled against her and millions of right-thinking Americans by the army of destroyers. The ferocious, relentless attacks on Sarah Palin are a testament to her greatness, proof of how deathly afraid of her they are, like Dracula to the silver cross. It’s envy. Ayn Rand said it: “Envy is regarded by most people as a petty, superficial emotion and, therefore, it serves as a semihuman cover for so inhuman an emotion that those who feel it seldom dare admit it even to themselves….That emotion is: hatred of the good for being the good.”

Ayn Rand Institute |
Peter Schwartz of the Ayn Rand Institute nailed it way back in 1991: “While feminists claim to be pursuing justice for women, it is becoming ever more apparent that their actual goal is the obliteration of justice.”

Victory! Seattle Transit drops Jewish blood libel bus ads
,
Speech is free as long as you demonize Jews or Christians. But we will not stand for it. And you shouldn’t, either. Ayn Rand said it: “The spread of evil is the symptom of a vacuum. Whenever evil wins, it is only by default: by the moral failure of those who evade the fact that there can be no compromise on basic principles.“

We won - now what?
,
Higher taxes imposed on the rich (and the semi-rich) come out of their investment capital (i.e., their savings). These taxes mean less investment, i.e., less production, fewer jobs, higher prices, etc. By the time the “rich” lower their standard of living, those who work in their companies or subcontract with them will be gone, along with their savings and their spouses’ jobs -- and no power in the world (no economic power) will be able to revive the dead industries: there will be no such power left. (In this I am paraphrasing Ayn Rand’s words from decades ago.)

Obama’s war on Arizona
,
Decades before the post-American president took office, Ayn Rand saw the UN for what it was, and what every free person should have known it was -- and it has only gotten worse since then: “Psychologically, the U.N. has contributed a great deal to the gray swamp of demoralization -- of cynicism, bitterness, hopelessness, fear and nameless guilt -- which is swallowing the Western world.” That, of course, is just the kind of guilt Obama and his cronies play upon. This guilt and demoralization was largely due to Communism in those days; now, the “gray swamp” is still there, but it stems from Islam.

Why Israel and the US are in crisis
,
Atlas Shrugged |
It was a TKO in the bout between the two camps duking it out in the Bush White House: the struggle between Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Bolton, etc. vs. Colin Powell, Armitage, Nick Burns, and Steve Hadley, etc. had been finally decided, and things would never be the same again. Individualism lost to collectivism. Reason lost to irrationality. American sovereignty lost to international law. What followed was inevitable: the relentless anti-American six-year Bush-bashing campaign in the media succeeded. Bush lost Congress, Rumsfeld resigned, Bolton did the same, and Cheney went on mute. The lights dimmed in the west as Atlas shrugged.

Michael Marxist: A love story
,
Capitalism |
In Capitalism: A Love Story, [Michael] Moore describes America has having been founded on genocide and having gotten rich on the backs of slaves. This is egregiously false. Ayn Rand explained the truth: “Capitalism cannot work with slave labor. It was the agrarian, feudal South that maintained slavery. It was the industrial, capitalistic North that wiped it out—as capitalism wiped out slavery and serfdom in the whole civilized world of the nineteenth century.”

Fight for art, music, and love
,
Ayn Rand said it best: “Art is a selective re-creation of reality according to an artist's metaphysical value-judgments. An artist recreates those aspects of reality which represent his fundamental view of man's nature.”
