Don’t let prejudice spoil the elections
Ed Fisher, Morning Sun (Mt. Pleasant, MI)
I was unfortunate in that I grew up in a family and community that taught me no prejudices, no unfounded beliefs about the superiority of this group compared to that. In order to understand what was going on I asked two neighbors whose yard was dotted with “My Mitt”, and “Go, Ryan” signs, about the situation. Angela and Abner Anvilclap were adding an “Ayn Rand all the way!” sign to their collection when I approached. I knew they both were members of the NRA by the extended-clip Glock pistols stuck in their bandoliers, so I respectfully stood in the road, hands over my head. Trespassing is useful to a stand-your-ground shooting spree and I didn’t want to disturb any of the other neighbors.
