4. Explore your self-interests. There is a very interesting book called, The Virtue of Selfishness. Its author, Ayn Rand, points out that that it’s rational to act in your own self-interest. On the flip side, it’s irrational to sacrifice who you are in order to serve others. We serve others because we believe it’s in our best self-interest to do so.
