Paul Ryan, Republican vice presidential selection, has revealed idealist Ayn Rand's prominence among some political figures. Ryan said, "I entered politics due to one thinker, Ayn Rand." Which means, Rand is Ryan's mentor for shaping public policy. Rand's devotees include a Supreme Court justice, the GOP tea party and a few congressmen.
