Rushdie might have been popular as an Indian novelist, but now he’s a ‘British Indian novelist, British coming first. Here again there’s a connecting thread that brings us to last author, Ayn Rand. Russian by birth, Alisa Zinivievna Rosenbaun, I wonder if she would have become world renowned, if not for America. The Queen of Objectivism, her book ‘Atlas Shrugged’ is as much relevant today as it was, when first published in 1957.
