Ryan should lead GOP legislators to the door
Bernard H. Bloom, Times Union (Albany, NY)
Paul Ryan |
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan, who longs to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, provides voters with strange credentials. As a disciple of Ayn Rand and Grover Norquist, he is the fierce opponent of taxes — old or new. Yet he boasts of voting for the unfunded Afghanistan and Iraq wars as well as the unfunded President George W. Bush “prescription handout,” which are largely responsible for the humongous deficits that were dumped on President Barack Obama the minute he took his oath of office.
