• • • Yaron Brook – Atlas Shrugged Should Be Required Reading In Idaho And Everywhere Else
,
Ayn Rand Institute  |Atlas Shrugged  |Capitalism  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | Yaron Brook as head of the Ayn Rand Institute is one of the greatest propents of capitalism today. He believes that business people need to be unapologetic for their financial successes. He’s also for eliminating the hybrid socialist/capitalist system that exists in contemporary America today. Although this is easier said than done, he sees renewed and continual interest in Ayn Rand’s writings and beliefs as a positive note. While presently it appears that the collectivists are winning, the battle is by no means over.

• • • Dr. Yaron Brook The US Needs a Free Market Revolution Now!
,
Ayn Rand Institute  |Capitalism  |Individual Rights  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | Dr. Yaron Brook, head of the Ayn Rand Institute joined us for a discussion about the upcoming presidential election and his new book, Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government. It’s shocking to think that the United States achieved its greatness, largely through the operation of free market economics and that now we must all hope for a Free Market Revolution.

• • Yaron Brook – The Supreme Court Shrugged – And We’re All Left Eating Broccoli
,
Altruism  |Ayn Rand Center  |Atlas Shrugged  |Capitalism  |Egoism  |Individual Rights  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | [Yaron Brook:] The freedom movement needs to understand that this is a philosophical, ethical war that we are fighting and that we need the tools in order to fight that, which means we need philosophy, we need morality on our side. You know, I believe that Ayn Rand has those tools and we need to adopt those tools because, you know, I think the liberty movement has lost—has lost big time—over the last hundred years, and I think it’s lost because it has granted the left the moral high ground, and we need to take the moral high ground away from the left. We need to advocate for individual rights. We need to advocate for the rights of individuals to live their lives for themselves and we need to advocate it on moral terms, that your life is yours, that you do not owe your life to other people, that charity is an optional thing, it is not a moral duty. Your moral duty is to live life to the fullest.

• • Is There A Romney Revolution? Dr. Yaron Brook Doesn’t Think So
,
Ayn Rand Center  |Ayn Rand Institute  |Individual Rights  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | Relevant section begins at approx. 13:40.
Although we really don’t tend to discuss politics at FSN, Dr. Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute for Individual Rights joins us today to discuss the American Motors of Presidential candidates we’ve got on the ticket for this year’s election. Americans seem ready to vote Obama out, but are we as a nation really embracing the freedom that limited government can provide? Dr. Yaron Brook thinks the Obama healthcare plan is a diaster, but will the Supreme Court repeal it and put it out of Obama’s misery?

• • Ayn Rand’s Don Watkins on Finding a Way Out of the Entitlement Tarpit
,
Ayn Rand Institute  |Capitalism  |Don Watkins  |Audio  | Don Watkins and I discuss the unsustainable state of America’s Entitlement Society. It is clear that the system is going to collapse; we are certainly at the height of corruption when half the population is allowed to live at the expense of the other half. The geometric growth in entitlement programs and expenditures is also mathematically unsustainable. Therefore, people need to be educated about entitlements, which actually make society more poor and ensure a lower standard of living for everyone.

• • Yaron Brook is Worried About Executive Orders & Out of Control Government Expansion
,
Ayn Rand Center  |Ayn Rand Institute  |Capitalism  |Individual Rights  |Yaron Brook  | Yaron Brook of the Ayn Rand Institute for Individual Rights sees a troubling pattern of expanding government that causes great injury to individual rights and the ability of our economy to produce products and services that people want. In addition, the damage done by the Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory schemes has caused immeasurable damage to America and its markets. Companies are now avoiding the US markets as a result.

• • • Didn't You Know Ayn Rand is Right?-Dr. Yaron Brook-02-24-2012
,
Ayn Rand Institute  |Capitalism  |Individual Rights  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | Yaron Brook was with us again for another exploration into why the individual is supreme, and why we need thousands of people to constantly communicate the message that collectivism is always a path to authoritarianism and impoverishment. Ideas have the power to reshape generations. This is why the current debate of individual rights and the proper role of the state is essential to everyone’s future.

• • • Dr. Yaron Brook Explains Why Ayn Rand Was Right
,
Altruism  |Ayn Rand Institute  |Yaron Brook  |Audio  | Dr. Yaron Brook has led the Ayn Rand Institute for the past 11 years. He believes the most important debate of out time is not economic but philosophic: you are not your brother’s keeper. Rather, your primary purpose is to the live the best life that you possibly can. This means being your own master and living on YOUR terms. You will be the most successful when you are the freest to pursue your goals and dreams. Unfortunately, this important debate is all but ignored during most political campaigns. Until we address this threshold issue, not much human progress will be made.
